IT SPECIALIST MALTA
(ON-SITE ONLY)
RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our studio's technological infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support, managing network systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
IT Specialist will work closely with various departments within the studio to address their technological needs and optimize workflow efficiency.
Provide first-line technical support to employees on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices.
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Implement security protocols and procedures to protect against cybersecurity threats.
Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
Collaborate with other departments to identify technological requirements and propose solutions.
Maintain Inventory records of IT equipment, software licenses and peripherals.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the gaming industry to make recommendations for improvement.
Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations for reference and training purposes.
Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software licenses as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years in IT, IS, Service Desk, or Help Desk roles
Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent
Knowledge of network systems and technology (admin level)
Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019
Experience with Active Directory
Linux (Centos/ RedHat/Debian/Ubuntu)
Familiarity with O365
Knowledge of TCP/IP stack, DNS, VPN, Firewall, Samba, NFS, SSH, RDP, etc.
Familiarity with Cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust, etc.
Experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi, Proxmox, XCP-ng)
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, CMD, etc.)
Experience in assembling, disassembling, diagnosing, and performing preventive maintenance on computers and related hardware
Ability to lift and carry computer hardware and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as needed
Experience working with gaming consoles
Experience crimping ethernet cables (RJ-45)
Experience working with ticket handling systems
Experience managing version control systems, preferably Helix (Perforce)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language.
Preferences
Proven experience working in IT support roles, preferably in a videogaming or software development environment
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts
Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Native Ukrainian will be considered a plus
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
