PRINCIPAL GAME DESIGNER
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an experienced Principal Game Designer to create fascinating gameplay locations with the help of a group of other Game/Level designers. From initial concept development to final production, you will be involved in directing and overview of the design team as well as working on location by yourself. The important part is collaboration with other departments to make sure the IP meets its creative and technical goals.
Drive the design vision and maintain consistency across gameplay, narrative, and technical aspects.
Work closely with Creative Director and Production to bring the game’s vision to reality.
Work alongside department leads (art, narrative, programming) to build cohesive and immersive gameplay experiences.
Create necessary accompanying documents for generated and controlled tasks.
Contribute to the development of processes and workflows.
Inspire and encourage the team to produce top-quality work.
Use the in-house technology (4A Games Engine) for game creation.
Test self-created game content as well as the one created by other teammates.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as a Senior/Principal Game Designer.
6+ years of experience as a Designer, working in small to medium-sized teams within the video game industry.
Strong skills in producing clear documentation that communicates design concepts to all relevant production teams.
Proven leadership and people management abilities.
Deep familiarity with AAA game engines such as Unreal Engine.
Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
Good knowledge of the Metro Universe and an understanding of the style essential to this IP.
Preferences
Any higher Technical, Art, or Humanitarian education.
Scripting/blueprint experience in AAA engines like UE.
Knowledge of additional software is a plus (ZBrush, World Machine, Speedtree, Houdini, etc.).
FPS gamer. Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of player motivations and expectations.
Experience with Exodus SDK.
