CRAFT CAPTIVATING ANIMATIONS
SENIOR ANIMATOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Senior Animator to join our team. The job will require working closely with all departments to create and set up the wide variety of player interaction with environment and items according to specific pipelines, finding and implementing new approaches which will bring the best results and player experience, pushing the limits of a proprietary multiplatform engine.
Create high-quality animations for characters, weapons, and other objects in the game
Create detailed gameplay systems and mechanics (related to player features, weapons)
Work with game designers to understand the gameplay mechanics and how the animations should support them
Collaborate with other animators, artists, and programmers to create a cohesive game experience
Design and implement gameplay mechanics for an FPS AAA game (related to player features, weapons)
Work with other game developers to ensure that the gameplay is cohesive and consistent with the overall vision of the game
Design and create animations of player interaction with environment and items according to specific pipelines. (movements, interaction with weapons, items, environment etc.)
Create and setup animation in the engine of player movement and of weapons behavior: This involves working with the game engine to ensure that the animations play correctly and smoothly.
Work with animation blueprints.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Maya.
Understanding of real-world kinematics and ability to replicate physical movements.
Experience with realistic animations of humans represented in the current Demo Reel.
Moderate rigging skills and knowledge of character modeling.
Understanding how the blueprints work.
Understanding how to work with blend-trees, IK, and partial-body animation.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Self-direction and motivation.
Desire to help drive the improvement of the game engine year-over-year.
+4 years on similar role in game development studio
Strong verbal and written English skills, knowledge of Ukrainian language will be a plus.
Preferences
Experience with realistic animations of humans, creatures, and mechanical characters/objects, especially related to fine motor skills.
Experience working with procedural/physically-altered animation techniques.
Experience in creating player for AAA FPS, applying and support HFSMs.
