SOUND PROGRAMMER
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a talented Sound Programmer to join our team. You will need to work closely with the Design and Sound team to implement new and improve existing sound tech to achieve the best immersive audio experience possible with current gen technology.
Design, implement, and maintain core Sound systems (sound positioning, occlusion, effects, etc) and integrate new tech into our engine.
Implement tools as needed for specific project requirements.
Write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.
Profile and performance tune code to remove bottlenecks.
Test and document code produced.
Support and improve existing Sound functionalities in the engine.
Suggest innovations based on other industry games or your experience.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of professional experience in Sound development.
Solid C/C++ programming skills.
Good knowledge of linear algebra.
In-depth knowledge of data structures and software design.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and team skills.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
English knowledge upper intermediate or higher.
Preferences
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
Prior Sound Programming experience with credits on at least one shipped title.
Experience with F-Mod, Wwise, or other audio middleware.
Specialist in other game programming areas (animation, tools, networking, audio, etc).
Good analytical and synthesizing abilities.
Autonomous and resourceful.
Ability to take initiative.
Desire to help drive the improvement of the game engine year-over-year.
An avid gamer with a passion for making games.
